Another type of idiot is the one who wants to take over an irc channel, chat room, mailing list, or forum. Too many of these powerhungry freaks would take over the list or chat room and kick out the previous owner/operators along with the regulars on that channel, list, or forum.
This is why op begging on irc is looked down on, and people on mailing lists generally have to prove themselves worthy before they get promoted as moderators.
This is a surefire way to get kicked off any list.
